IMORTAL with John Lloyd Cruz & Angel Locsin

Picture taken from Imortal website: http://imortal.abs-cbn.com/index.html

I know I've been in hibernation for a couple of weeks now. Aside from being busy from a lot of things, I am also busy planning how to be P50,000 richer this coming Christmas. ;)

Anyway, last night I had the chance and the time to watch TV. Before the News Anchor Ted Failon ended the TV Patrol News, he introduced the trailer of Imortal. I was excited because I had no idea it will be aired this early. See, I've been waiting for this teleserye for months. Well, aside from being a John Lloyd Cruz's fan (though I've hated him for awhile because of the Shaina thingy err) what made me more interested was when I 'heard' this will be a Twilight inspired teleserye since John Lloyd will play a role of a vampire. FYI, I am a certified Twilight Saga and an Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson crazy fan. LOL! And truly I consider John Lloyd (I don't want to call him JLC because that's how Ruffa Guttierez call him. Hmp!) the local Edward Cullen of the Philippines. Ooohh wait, don't get mad if you don't agree with me. This is my blog, remember? ;p

But some says, this is much nearly compared to Underworld. Two lovers in different immortal persona. Well, I can agree with that. Underworld is one of my favorite movies. And I also love Kate Beckinsale together with her British accent. Aahh, I really have a thing with Brits. LOL!

UNDERWORLD (2003)

Selene, a beautiful vampire warrior, is entrenched in a war
between the vampire and  werewolf races. Although she is aligned
with the vampires, she falls in love with Michael,
a werewolf who longs for the war to end.

I can't wait to see the pilot episode of Imortal. In one of the forums that I've visited, they say that Angel Locsin's character here will be interesting. You know why? Angel will play the role of the daughter of Lyka in her previously starred role in Lobo. This is partly a sequel of the Lobo teleserye. How true? Really not sure. All these information, I also got from researching and some are directly from Imortal's website

Feast your eyes on Imortal's Full Trailer. Many thanks to the one who posted this.

Really excited now,

Contemplating on getting a Korean Haircut.

I haven't had a haircut for, I think, two years now. Yes, you heard it right. I can't believe it, too. Probably because my hair has been all behave all this time and didn't even give me any problems. Very rare bad hair days. And when there is, I just have to tie it and it tames easily. I believe I still look fashionable because of the bangs I've been wearing for the past three years. Hee!

But recently, I am bothered since a lot of close to me are suggesting that I really needed to get a haircut. Well, I think so too. The split ends are suggesting the same loudly also. Lol!

Now another problem is, "What haircut to get??" I think I still have a hang over on these Korean haircuts.

This was my haircut inspiration 2 years ago.

Korean haircut inspiration from http://bombhead.com

Which resulted very close to that picture. I really love how that hairstylist from David's Salon cut it. I just showed him the picture from my cellphone, glanced on it and started doing his job.

So now, my hair is really longer now. (Picture to be posted soon.) I started researching on Korean haircuts again and chanced upon these pictures. See what you can suggest.

I am tempted to get this, really. Looks so cute and very dainty. I think it will still compliment my round face. Hee! :) My only problem with this hair so short is it will emphasize the blemishes in my face. :|

I love this. Two things, first because I will not waste my long hair. The hairstylist just have to trim some parts of my hair and it will look like this. Second, it looks seksi! ;) And Mio has his two thumbs here, too. Hee!

This one really really ROCKS!! I should get a smart hairstylist that will understand this haircut. Based from the site, they call this the Asian Mullet cut but I think this is also kinda similar to the first and third picture I posted earlier.I think the length of my hair now is perfect for this. Hmmm. *confused now*

And these two are also on my list. It looks so refreshing and youthful, right? Argh! The agony of searching on what haircut to get. Whew!

Anyway, I hope to get the right haircut before this week ends.Pray for me. ;p

Still thinking on that perfect haircut,

When pain gives you all the reason to succeed

Last week I received a not so-good news. The 'thing' I have been waiting for the last 5 months has finally given a result and obviously gave me a negative. I was sad and crying inside at the moment I discovered but due to being still positive, I gradually moved on. Although, I should be honest that the 'whys' are still lingering in my head.

Today after having lunch, I returned to my office table and was totally puzzled to what has greeted me on one of the tabs of my Firefox browser. It was Bo Sanchez's blog page.

With his recent blog saying, "How To Use Your Pain To Achieve Great Success". Oh well. I really couldn't remember typing his site in the Google Search bar before I left my computer to have lunch. Anyway, I immediately pmed Mio and told him about this. I asked him if it was just a coincidence because of what I am going through. But he shrugged it off and said that God is talking to me through Bo's blog. And I know, I believe so.

Some of the words that struck me:

"You need pain to survive.
You need pain to succeed in life.
In fact, all permanent success comes from pain.
Any success that doesn’t come from pain will be short-lived."

"Pain is fuel."

"Rise from your pain!"

Bo never fails to empower me. To show me that despite of all the endless difficulties that we experience, there is so much more in store for us. That the Lord's promises and plans for each and every individual is just out there waiting for us. The Lord is just trying to hone us, build us, mold us into a unique individual before He gives us his gifts of promise.

I may have patiently waited for that 'thing' but still did not get it, I know He has something more for me, something more special, something I truly deserve. I still hold on to that saying that:

"Good things come to those who wait."

I am still excited in what future holds for me despite of all the disappointments. Still positive that my plans are His plans for me, too.

Thank you, Lord for always reminding of your love. I can almost feel you hugging me now. Thank you for giving us Bo, as the medium of your reminders for everyone of us.

Truly truly hopeful now,
Princess Abbie

Movie Review: The Plague

Photo taken from
http://www.obscurehorror.com/
Movie Title: Clive Barker's: The Plague
Year: 2006
Rating: ♥♥ out of 5
Warning: Spoiler alert (picture heavy)

To celebrate our 8th year anniversary as a couple, Mio and I decided to watch a movie with big burgers in our table and just sit back and relax infront of a computer monitor.

Between Shutter Island and The Plague, I chose the latter. Why? Because I've always been fond with these types of movies where it seems like the end of the world. I don't know how you are going to categorize it. I know Shutter Island can wait. :)

It was interesting at the beginning. I was hooked actually but as the movie ends it seems like the story is going nowhere else. Some characters are even confusing like Kip and Claire where we thought at first were siblings but turned out to be a couple in the end.

"Last night I dreamt I was lowered to slumber in the hands of children.
They whispered in my ear, and the words are familiar.

"The kingdom of heaven is near, and should anyone offer their soul
to one of these children, he will deliver those who,
through fear, are subject to slavery all their lives." "

These lines has been said more than once. Sure it said someone has to offer their soul to end The Plague and Tom did it. Just that it wasn't clear if he died or that he became one of them. What were the prayers for? What happened to the Doctor and the Priest who didn't willingly give up their souls but still prayed over by these children?

I was researching for the movie poster when I chanced upon Obscurehorror's website and his review of The Plague. Surprisingly, we both almost have a similar opinion on this. Calling those who were able to watch this also, please voice out your opinion about the ending. LOL! Like what he said: "...it's not remotely clear, by a long shot!"

Clearly not happy with the movie,

Want to have new clothes every single day?? (Picture Heavy)

If you're a fan of fashion blogs, you must have heard and read about Maria, the blog author of newdressaday. What's with all these? She said,
"One person's trash is becoming my treasure this year.
365 days. 365 items of clothing. 365 dollars. ..."
She mentioned the movie Julie and Julia is one of her inspirations that's why I started downloading them via Vuze. Hee.

Passion. Ambition. Butter. Do You Have What It Takes?

I finished checking all her posts in less than a day and still craving for the upcoming ones. Well, I have to pick out some of my love-at-first-sight clothing she made. ;)

Look how she was able to transform this.

Oohh, floral mania.

She dyed this sheered top and it was really fantastic!
Day 42 Dress >>>

I was stunned with the outcome. I didn't know that dye products can make the greatest job on giving clothes their second life to fashion. LOL! It was really clever of her. Two thumbs up!!

The next picture you are about to see is a Barong where is mostly produced in the Philippines. This is what Maria said:

"I found a Barong – thanks to REF for
the verification that it is indeed the traditional
Filipino male wedding shirt :) – and wanted to
make it work on me.  I’m not a Filipino male
but had every intention to rock it out
as they do at their celebrations!"

"Chic, yes.  And, the most comfy,
colorful outfit to spend Sunday in?
Yes to that as well."
-Maria, newdressaday.wordpress.com

And she really rocked it out with the
help of the purple dye ink again!
Day 85 Dress >>>

I am really impressed on how she can transform all the clothing in to what she wants it to be like. With all those second-life clothes, they are now considered as unique. You won't be able to see the same style to anybody else.

Kudos to you, Maria. I always look forward on your smart creations.

Really inspired now,

I: Note from the Universe

Today seems to be boring and because of that it always leads to depression. The thing is, I am currently waiting for 'something'. All in all, I've been waiting for 5 months already. Aww, I didn't know I'm really that patient. :|

Well, I was introduced to The Secret a few months ago (I will tell another story about that on my succeeding blogs) and after that was also introduced to Mike Dooley's website where he post Notes from the Universe randomly. I find it convenient because I am reminded every now and then that there is no reason to be sad, to be depressed and to be negative.

Yes, Mike, thank you for reminding me again and again. :)

Loving Labradors and Dolphins ♥

I have heard and researched about the famous Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, last year. I've stumbled upon a YouTube Video were he trains misbehaved dogs and he is really good. I got really interested since I have a teenager Yellow Labrador who is becoming a brat (well, that's due to being spoiled by me). Some techniques I've well-used especially the "Calm-Assertive Energy" but in my opinion, you only have to have a 'connection' with your furkid to be able to understand them.

Photo grabbed at http://www.landroller.com/
Moving on, this morning I chanced upon this link and article called Animal Charmers. I've only heard about the Dog and Ghost Whisperer (where the latter sounds really corny but I love Jennifer Love Hewitt), I was surprised that there are so many whisperers, lol! They've given 10 Animal Charmers and from the ten, I think aside from wishing to be a Dog Whisperer, too, it's really exciting to be a Dolphin Whisperer like Richard O'Barry of the Cove. He is also the founder of the Dolphin Project and the director of the Save Japan Dolphins.

O'Barry is known as a dolphin abolitionist.
I have always been fascinated with Dolphins. I've always believed that they have an innocent heart and a brain like a genius human. If I could remember it right, I have read through internet browsing that dolphins are also called as 'Underwater Labradors' since they are both gentle, friendly and smart.

And through researching about the connection of Labradors and Dolphins, I am really amazed with this video where a Yellow Labrador swims with a Dolphin.

Aren't they pleasing to the eyes? Aww. Labradors, including my furkids, never really fail to amuse me. I love them to bits.

Excited to be a Whisperer, too.

30-day Challenge with NO FACEBOOK.

I am currently in my first 30-day Challenge of No Facebook and a 5:30 am wake-up call. I already failed on the latter by the way. ;p I thought of doing it because I realized I have been wasting so much of my time in Facebook, browsing from these to these which only resulted to late night sleeps and nothing. Well, I know I am to blame. I am already in my 12th day. Woohoo! :)

8 more days to go and not missing Facebook anymore at all. On the following days, I will be posting activities I was able to do since being spared from visiting FB.

Wishing you will try it too,
